Love Story Turns Tragic: Aunt and Nephew Consume Poison After Police Arrival in Bulandshahr Hotel

In a shocking incident that has left locals stunned, a woman and her nephew, reportedly in a romantic relationship, consumed poison in a hotel room in Bulandshahr after learning that police were closing in on them. The two had allegedly run away from their respective homes in Delhi and Greater Noida to be together.

An Unusual Love Affair

According to police reports, the woman, originally from the Nixon Villa, Beta-2 area in Greater Noida, was married in Jahangirabad, Bulandshahr. Her 22-year-old nephew resides in the Prem Nagar, Karawal Nagar area of Delhi. Despite their close family ties, the two were allegedly involved in a romantic relationship for some time.

On June 17, the woman left her marital home under the pretext of visiting her maternal home, only to flee with her nephew. When the family failed to trace her whereabouts, they filed a missing person’s report at the Beta-2 Police Station in Gautam Buddh Nagar on June 20. Simultaneously, the nephew’s family filed a separate missing person’s complaint at Dayalpur Police Station, Delhi.

Police Trace Their Location

Both Gautam Buddh Nagar and Delhi Police had been actively searching for the duo. On Saturday, Delhi Police received a tip-off that the couple was staying at a hotel near the old Roadways Bus Stand in Bulandshahr. Acting swiftly, Delhi Police informed the local Bulandshahr police station, and a joint operation was planned.

However, before the authorities could intervene, the couple got wind of the police’s arrival. Fearing arrest and the fallout from their exposed relationship, the aunt and nephew consumed poison inside their hotel room.

Rushed to Hospital, Later Taken Into Custody

Upon reaching the scene, police immediately shifted the couple to the district hospital, where doctors managed to stabilize their condition after primary treatment. Once their health improved, Delhi Police took both individuals into custody for further inquiry.

According to Bulandshahr police officials, the couple had eloped due to their romantic involvement and planned to start a life together, despite the complications of their familial bond and existing marital commitments.

Investigation Ongoing

Authorities are continuing to investigate the matter, including how the couple obtained the poisonous substance and whether others may have assisted them in their elopement. The incident has sparked considerable discussion on social media and within local communities about complex personal relationships and the lengths individuals might go for love.
