In a deeply troubling case from Kolkata, police have arrested three individuals in connection with a recent assault on a 24-year-old student from a city law college. The incident reportedly occurred on June 25, prompting swift police action after the survivor filed a formal complaint.
According to investigative sources, the primary accused had allegedly been attempting to coerce the student for some time. Two other individuals have also been apprehended for their involvement in the case. On learning about the police investigation, the prime accused reportedly tried to monitor activity near the local police station and even sought assistance from known acquaintances, but no support was forthcoming. Later, law enforcement officers tracked down and arrested the suspects from different parts of the city.
