The Los Angeles Dodgers extended their hot streak on Tuesday night with a convincing 6-1 win over the struggling Chicago White Sox at Dodger Stadium. Japanese star Yoshinobu Yamamoto delivered a stellar performance, allowing just three hits over seven innings, while Shohei Ohtani launched his 30th home run of the season, continuing his MVP-caliber form.

The Dodgers wasted no time asserting control, scoring four runs in the first inning after White Sox starter Shane Smith retired the first two batters. Will Smith and Max Muncy drew back-to-back walks before Teoscar Hernandez, Andy Pages, and Michael Conforto combined for three straight hits, quickly putting the Dodgers up 4-0.
Andy Pages added a second RBI later in the game, and Ohtani’s solo blast further widened the gap, securing the team’s 54th win of the season — the best record in MLB.
Manager Dave Roberts praised his squad’s depth and resilience. “We’re getting contributions from every part of the lineup, and our bullpen has been rock solid,” he said. “Even with injuries and slumps, we’re staying aggressive and focused.”
The Dodgers have now won 8 of their last 10 games, most against bottom-tier teams like the Rockies, Nationals, and now the White Sox. With the All-Star break approaching, LA has increased its lead in the NL West to eight games over the Padres.
Despite not being at full strength, Roberts remains confident: “Our best baseball is still ahead of us.” If current form continues, that may very well be true.
